Join Triton College for Earth Day 2010

Triton College will be celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day on Thursday, April 22, 11 a.m.-2 p.m in the Triton College Library, located in the Learning Resource Center (A Building) on the west side of Triton’s main campus, 2000 Fifth Ave., River Grove.

Triton’s Greening the Campus Committee will be sponsoring a series of events promoting the Earth Day initiative and community members will have a great opportunity to learn more about the green movement.

Topics of interest will include climate policy, water conservation and rain barrels, energy efficiency, food impacts, habitat restoration, renewable energy and green jobs.

Find out what steps you can take to reduce your carbon footprint and help protect our environment.

Exhibits will feature:
• Student-created posters and multimedia presentations focusing on sustainability.
• Lost and Found Art display.
• Information on courses and careers with a “green” focus offered through the Continuing Education Department.


Attendees are encouraged to bring old cell phones to recycle. A recycling container provided by Samsung will be available.

Admission is free of charge and open to the public.
